Let’s toast Vermont moving towards Zero Waste at the annual Vermont Activism Celebration!

There will be some major changes to our waste system as major benchmarks of the Universal Recycling Law go into effect this summer. Landfills are retiring. Big producers of waste have to start composting. And everyone is taking steps to reduce, reuse, recycle, and compost.
Guest Speaker: Nora Goldstein, editor of BioCycle Magazine

BioCycle is THE organics recycling authority. For more than 50 years, they’ve been leading the way in making the call for reducing food waste, and showing how communities across the world are doing it successfully. Their annual conferences draw several hundred attendees. In her time at BioCycle, Nora has written dozens of articles on all facets of zero waste, food recovery and recycling, composting and anaerobic digestion. We’re super excited to have her joining us all the way from Pennsylvania!

Join us at our annual celebration on June 18th, 6:00-8:30pm at the Barre Opera House. You'll meet other supporters, activists and members, celebrate and learn about the amazing community activism that is moving Vermont towards Zero Waste. And of course, we’ll have some fantastic food.
