Annual Maine Activism Celebration 2015

Let’s toast the grassroots movement in Maine at the Annual Community Activism Celebration!

The Tar Sands pipeline was blocked in South Portland. A proposed landfill on top of traditional Native American hunting ground was halted. Citizen leaders across the state are coming together and organizing for healthier communities—and I’m excited to raise a glass with you to celebrate their victories!

Guest Speaker: David Levi, chef-owner of Vinland Restaurant in Portland as the evening’s guest speaker.

Vinland has been called “Maine’s Most Radical Restaurant” by the Portland Press Herald. Besides creating some of the most delicious dishes any restaurant in Maine offers, it is just as importantly uses 100% locally-sourced ingredients, famously, right down to the salt! We laud Vinland’s goals, and David’s work for an ethical, local, organic, closed-loop food system.

Join us at our annual celebration. You'll meet other supporters, activists and members, celebrate and learn more about the amazing community activism that is happening across the state. And of course we’ll have some great food and Rising Tide beer!

RSVP and see more of the details below. Please feel free to email Megan at megan@toxicsaction.org with any questions.
