Are you sick of the dig, dump & burn economy that says we have to cook the planet in exchange for short term economic gain? Click here to join the growing movement representing over $2.6 trillion divesting from fossil fuels and investing in clean energy instead.

Friend,

Most of the time, I'm the guy emailing you a petition calling on someone to DO something: Tell Hillary to oppose Keystone XL (check). Tell President Obama to answer the pope's call to Act On Climate (double check). Tell the United Nations to kick big polluters out of the climate talks (stand by). But where most online petitions pressure somebody else to make change; this week I'm asking you to build on the power we already have.

Divestment campaigns have been springing up on college campuses and at institutions around the world. And yesterday, divestment became a big deal for the climate when a new report just found that divestment exploded in the last year, growing 50-fold and topping $2.6 trillion.1

And now, they're asking for OUR help. If you’re ready to reject financial gain from climate chaos, will you pledge today to join the growing Divest-Invest movement by doing the following:

  1. Stop investing in climate change.
  2. Drop coal, oil and gas from your investment portfolio.
  3. Roll a portion of your investments into climate solutions like clean energy, sustainable agriculture, local business and many others.

Environmental Action is proud to join a big, global coalition to support Divest-Invest Pledge Month. Together with partners like 350.org and Daily Kos we're asking tens of thousands of people across the economic spectrum to cut their financial ties with fossil fuel companies.

This isn't about the size of your bank account or what kind of car you drive. We already know that a handful of big corporations are the biggest drivers of climate change.2 And new reports show that those same companies, like Exxon, are mostly responsible for blocking action that can stop climate chaos and save our fragile planet.3

Whether you manage a hedge fund or barely have a dollar in your wallet, it's time to own what you own and align your money with your values. Sign this pledge and you commit NOT to profit from the top 200 dirtiest companies on the planet,4 and you'll align yourself with a big and growing global movement that says no to profits from pollution, and yes to a clean energy future with NOBODY left behind.

Click here to start your Divest Invest journey and pledge personally to go fossil free (no matter how big or small your assets).

Thanks for investing in our shared home,
