Friend,

I want to make sure that you saw my message from last week. We're taking the fight for climate leadership to California and need your help. We're halfway to our goal of sending fracktivists to the March for Real Climate Leadership. Please chip in and help us cross the finish line.

The whole email is available for you to view below.

Thank you so much for taking (Environmental) Action,

Anthony

P.S. If you're in California next week, check out this website and join us, and please come and introduce yourself.

Our voices are being heard and they are leading to real results in the fight to curb climate change and emancipate our nation from the grip of fossil fuels. Last month Governor Cuomo banned fracking in New York.1 President Obama referred to climate change as "the greatest threat to future generations" during the most recent State of the Union.2 Earlier this week, hundreds of protesters (including some you helped bus in) protested at the inauguration of Governor Tom Wolfe-leading to a few arrests and lots of local news coverage.3 And, across the nation communities, like Denton, Texas, are standing up to Big Oil and demanding that their elected officials make climate change a priority.

Now we take the fight to California. In just two weeks, thousands of fractivists and climate justice advocates will descend on Oakland, for the March For Real Climate Leadership, to call on Governor Jerry Brown to protect all Californians from dangerous drilling activities that threaten their air, water, health and communities. We want to make sure that we get as many people to Oakland as possible for this historic event. Last week numerous fracktivists like yourself got us over the halfway hump. I'm asking you to help us finish the job so that we can get even more climate fighters to Oakland.

Can you please chip in $25 or more to help bus fractvists to the march?

  • $25 buys a seat on a passenger bus for one fracktivist;
  • $100 rents a passenger van for 10 people;
  • $1500 rents a 56 seat bus, so we can bring hundreds of fracktivists to the march.

When Governor Brown took office on January 5th for his fourth and final term, he pledged to make California an international leader in the fight against climate change.But California can't be a climate leader if it keeps using extreme energy extraction methods like fracking.

That's why we need to get as many people to Oakland, Governor Brown's hometown. We need to demand that he acts like a true climate leader by banning fracking, standing up to Big Oil and moving beyond fossil fuels to 100% renewable energy. We need to send Governor Brown a message that when it comes to climate change, (environmental) Action Speaks Louder than Words.

Please click here to chip in $5, $25, or $500 to help get fracktivists to Oakland.

With your help we can take a west coast swing and continue the wave of climate victories across the country.

Thank you for riding the bus to victory with us,

Anthony for Environmental Action
