Friend,

December is peak elephant and rhinoceros hunting season in South Africa. The high levels of foliage make it easy for poachers to hide from authorities and surprise these critically endangered and majestic beings.

Almost 1,000 rhinos have been killed this year, and even though ivory is technically illegal, the U.S. black market helps drive demand.*

Over the last nine months, we've run aggressive campaigns in California and Alaska to pressure their Governors to enforce stricter fines and punishments for ivory trade. And on the national front, we helped bus in hundreds of activists to support the global march for elephants in Washington, D.C., and lobbied members of Congress to fight ivory trade by passing the Tusker Act.**

Can you chip in $25 to support our work in 2015 so we can fight for stronger laws to stop illegal ivory trade at the state and federal level?

Thank you,

Aaron and the rest of the team at Environmental Action
