Update: 100 fracktivists descended on the mid-town Manhattan office of Governor Andrew Cuomo yesterday to demand that he veto Port Ambrose. Click here to see everything that went down.

Friend,

Yesterday the stars were aligned for an awesome rally at the midtown Manhattan offices of Governor Andrew Cuomo. Even the weather cooperated by providing 100 fracktivists with clear blue skies and sunshine. This certainly helped to lift the spirits of everyone who convened -- some dressed in costume, some bringing props and many holding signs to deliver a message to Andew Cuomo: Veto Port Ambrose Now and Keep Fracked Gas Out of New York.1

Even the New York Police Department had our backs. Many of the officers on the scene told us they live in Long Island, near where Port Ambrose would be located, and they don't want their kids exposed to a fracked gas catastrophe. It was an amazing event to say the least, but rather than reading my take on it, click here or the image below to see what went down for yourself.

Thank you so much to the many of you who took action and chipped in to help create artwork and transport people to various events. Rallies like these would not be possible without you. Please stay tuned as there is more work to be done to keep fracked gas out of New York, but for now, have an amazing Earth Day and know that the fight to protect our mother, our only home and our communities continues.

Happy Earth Day,

Anthony for Environmental Action
